Midnight Silences

The cacophony of the midnight silences

Still holds my breath

And reminds me of how you would fall asleep on my lap

While narrating your forgotten dreams!

I would pamper you till my legs got numb

And then when the pain would become intolerable

I would gulp in a little of your bodily odor

And use it as my morphine to survive the night!

And when my eyes would droop to sleep

I would secretly hope to unconsciously doze off on your soft hair

Holding your arms

And meet you in your dreams

And love you

All over again!

For you see lady!

I could never really get enough of you!
