Why is that our love had to fade
Over time and it’s brutality

Was our love weak or
Our patience not strong
Was it our tumbling faith
Or the weak foundations of our trust
But beyond all the rant
I just wish we could make it last a little longer
It’s insane how my pillows
Hug me tighter every night
Because they sense my racing heart singing our memory
And yet you who understood me
Fail to notice my plight
